KIAEddZ, for a person who claims to be having a neutral pov, you sure seems to be having a lot of opinions. Save your words and use em IF V and LV falls, it has not happend yet and I doubt V will die.
Alliances makes mistakes, all of them, because this is a game that is based on RL players and not some strategic PC game you play for yourself, things happens that is based on choices that other people in the game makes and that causes the other side of the war-coin to find a counter for that. The coalition might have made some mistakes, it does not matter really, when US entered Iraq, same thing happend, they totally wiped out resistance exept a small group of rebellions and most of the world was happy, now that group has grown and given a fair resistance to the coalition and more and more support that group, same happens in EVE, RA being the rebellion in this, determined and fighting for existance, bought more and more friends and now they are suddently the good guys and LV+V (the invaders) are the bad ones, funny how things change, just like RL.
My point is, things go up and down in this game, its impossible, history shows, to keep the upper hand at all times, when you are big alliance, people starts to hate you, people tend to support the underdogs and its just human nature but that does not mean LV or V is dead, believe me, Insmother, cache and JLO has always been a problem between the coalition members, noone really needed it as all parts of the coalition already had enough space and everyone was afraid to spread to thin due to past experience with having too much to defend so I doubt the rest of the systems will be as easy to take, but lets let actions speak instead of you already dooming V and LV before things have really got started.

Mac, you managed to say what I was trying to say in my previous post as well, its all about ups and downs, you win some and you loose some but I doubt that after the, what 2 years almost now, of wars that anyone will ever leave the area unless they want to themselves, it takes a LOT more than a swarm of frigs to kick out people who have survived in the area for many years.

I am not comparing anything to anyone m8, I was simply drawing a picture of how things work in RL and in EVE, sometime tactics work and sometimes it doesnt so it does not matter how good your tactics are if the "people" want it different or are dedicated enough to try and prevent the tactics to work and thats why I used the Iraq as an example, not that the RL war in Iraq has anything to do with us ingame (Other than we miss TASSELHOF from M.corp who is currently serving in Iraq  )
